Number 17 Station Road has been a veterinary practice for over 50 years. It is the longest established practice in Sidcup and has one of the longest histories in greater southeast London.
Up until 1984 number 17 was one of two surgeries owned and run by the long established and much respected partnership of Robin Furniss and Peter Hannaford, the other surgery was located in Bexleyheath Broadway at the site of what are now the DHSS offices. In 1984, having been refused planning permission to update and expand the Bexleyheath site,it was reluctantly abandoned and the practice was consolidated at the Sidcup site.
Prior to this, the practice has a history that runs back to the early part of the 1900's
In 1986, the current practice principal, Philip Parker took over from Robin Furniss & entered partnership with Peter Hannaford who himself retired the following year.
Since that time, the practice has built on its solid foundations to achieve remarkable success and popularity not only within the local community but from a very wide radius beyond the local area and is constantly pursuing an ongoing program of upgrading & structural expansion.
